The Booking Service Menorca Private Owners Ltd. MPO
A confirmation of the booking will be dispatched when MPO has received from the Holidaymaker the deposit together with the booking form. No booking exists between the Holidaymaker and the Car Hire Company until the completed booking form and deposit has been received by MPO and the Holidaymaker has received confirmation of the booking. Payment of the balance of the car hire will be required before the start of the holiday either by full payment to MPO in the UK or by credit card in local currency before the commencement of the hire.
This contract of hire is subject to the terms and conditions covered by the Car Hire Company contract, a copy of which will be presented to the client on arrival for approval and signature. MPO is not the principal in the contract and only acts as a booking service for the car hire company. Full details available on request. MPO cannot accept any responsibility for any conditions covered by the car hire company.
Normal daily or weekly rates apply and the price ruling is in local currency. When early arrival and late departure occurs the Car Hire Company reserves the right to charge an additional half a day rental.
MPO trading as Menorca Private Owners Ltd cannot accept any responsibility under this contract, however, MPO does not seek to be excluded for negligence.
The contract of hire is made on the understanding that the vehicle will be available on the holiday dates that are booked. In the unlikely event that after confirmation by MPO the vehicle is no longer available as a result of matters beyond MPO's control, then MPO will advise the Holidaymaker immediately. MPO will make every effort to offer the Holidaymaker a suitable alternative vehicle. If this is not available or acceptable to the Holidaymaker this will entitle the Holidaymaker to a full refund of all monies paid and the booking will be cancelled. The Holidaymaker will not, as a result, have any further claim against MPO or the Car Hire Company.
MPO should be notified immediately by telephone if the Holidaymaker considers it necessary to cancel the booking and this should be followed by written confirmation of the cancellation. The Holidaymaker will be liable to pay 25% of the full cost of the booking, whether or not the final balance of the booking cost has been paid at the time of cancellation, if cancellation occurs within 10 weeks of departure. For cancellation prior to 10 weeks of departure date, loss of deposit.
It may be possible to change the details of the booking prior to departure, subject to local availability. MPO reserve the right to charge a £10 administration charge if made by the local company.
The Holidaymaker is responsible at all times for all luggage and personal belongings, and MPO cannot accept any liability for loss or damage.
The Holidaymaker is responsible for any damage done to the wheels including the tyres as set out in the car hire agreement.
In the unlikely event that the Holidaymaker is not entirely satisfied with the car hire arranged by MPO, contact should be made immediately with the Car Hire Company so that the difficulty can be reasonably resolved. The Holidaymaker should notify any complaints to MPO, which remain unresolved, in writing within Seven Days of return from the holiday. MPO undertakes to pursue these claims on behalf of the Holidaymaker but cannot accept any liability arising from such a claim. Unless the above procedure is followed the Car Hire Company cannot entertain a claim arising out of the complaint, as the requirements of this procedure have legal force. If the Holidaymaker does not follow this procedure, MPO or the Car Hire Company, could rely on that failure, if any subsequent claim is brought against the Car Hire Company or MPO.
